Twin Line Velo’s ripe for success in 2011…thanks to new sponsor Porter Farms, Inc.
The idea is simple: individuals share the costs, risks and bounty of growing food in an environmentally-friendly fashion. CSA participants, through their membership, help pay for seeds, compost, irrigation supplies, equipment maintenance, fuel, labor, etc. In return, the farm provides, to the best of its ability, 22 weeks of fresh, certified organic produce throughout the growing season … and the cycling season. Check them out at www.porterfarms.org.
Twin Line Velo, grateful for the support of Porter Farms, knows a healthy di
et of fruits and vegetables will definitely contribute to a bountiful cycling season. And while we’ll proudly display the Porter Farms logo on our newly designed kits, we’ll also be sure to protect our melons in style.

Jeff Gagliardo joins Twin Line Velo Cycling

Read what Jeff has to say:
I began racing in 2008 with All American Bicycle Club in the Washington D.C. area learning about roadie culture and loving the gutter with a great group of guys. In 2010, work moved me to the Rochester area where I was pleasantly surprised with the healthy racing scene in a somewhat smaller market. This year started out with me in a tough spot, my thinning AABC chamois beginning to show too much (a fashion faux pas, not to mention RUDE) and giving me saddle sores (partially a result of the imagined hours on the trainer through the tough Rochester winter) relief came in the form of an invite by the Twin Line Velo guys to ride with them. Since the TLV kit obviously has class and the thought of new bibs gave me goose bumps, I was immediately on board. I've missed working with a team using the tactical advantages a group of guys that know each other well bring to a race and sharing in the successes contributing to a result. I am excited to join the team and hope to contribute positively and with style (when is that clothing order going in?).
Jeff, an Engineer by day, Category 4 Cyclist adds short uphill sprints to TLV's repetoire.
Welcome aboard Jeff!!

Introducing ... Twin Line Velo 2011; Powered by DICK IDE HONDA!
Dick Ide Honda is a family owned and operated Honda dealership in Penfield, NY. The Ide family, cycling enthusiasts themselves, actively support the Rochester community and continue to do so with this new relationship with Twin Line Velo. We are grateful for their support and look forward to proudly displaying their name and logo as we train, race, and adorn the cycling podiums of Western New York and beyond.
Here's their story:
It all started in 1969, when Dick Ide opened his first dealership in Fairport, NY. In 1973 he added the Honda franchise. A few years later, in 1977, he moved both dealerships to Panorama Trail. In 1984, Dick's oldest son, Mitch Ide, opened Mitch Ide's Ideal Chevy-Olds-Geo in Geneseo, NY. Along with his wife Anne, they ran the dealership until selling it in 2000. In 2007, Mitch took on responsibility for the Honda dealership from his father and has been involved in daily operations. When we say family owned and operated, we mean it. Mitch is the owner, Anne is the CFO, their son, Rich, is the marketing director, and Rich's wife, Stephanie, is in charge of Customer Relations.
